Freddy Buache (1924-2019)

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Freddy Buache, former Director of the Cinémathèque suisse and a legend of the film archive movement, on 28 May. Freddy had been elected Honorary Member of FIAF last year, and was a guest of honour of the FIAF Congress last month in Lausanne.

The Journal of Film Preservation will pay tribute to his amazing career and his unique contribution to the development of our field in its next issue.
