Bertrand Tavernier (1941-2021)
It is with great sadness that many in the FIAF community learned of the passing of the great French film director Bertrand Tavernier on 25 March 2021. He was also the long-time President of the Institut Lumière (an Associate of FIAF), and a renowned cinephile who dedicated his later years to documenting and preserving French cinema and film heritage in general. He will be missed by his many friends in cinémathèques and film archives of the FIAF network.
