ECAM is a non-profit cultural foundation whose founding aim is to train future generations in the audiovisual sector and promote cultural activities associated with the industry. Our greatest asset is our students (past and present), our professors and our team.

Each year, more than 400 professionals, currently active in cinema, television and advertising, pass through our lecture halls, sets and post-production rooms in order to share their knowledge with the next generation of professionals in the sector.

Our teaching staff and the institutional relations established with the sector have enabled us to build bridges with the industry that facilitate the transition of our students into the labour market.

ECAM goes the extra mile in striving to achieve its aim of training future generations of the audiovisual sector and being the starting point of the professional career of big names in Spanish cinema: it is expanding its postgraduate programme, which is consolidated and adapted to the needs of the industry, as well as promoting support for alumni, one of its guiding values, promoting the talent nurtured in its classrooms and enhancing the employability of the ECAM Community.

Diplomas, Postgraduate, Intensive Courses, VFX Studio and Media Literacy are the range of certifications that make up the school's educational offer, adapting to the needs of the labour market and the audiovisual industry, always from a practical approach.

We like to think that ECAM constitutes the start of a professional career and not the last few steps of an academic life. We believe that a craft can only be learnt by practicing it.

ECAM was created in 1994 and its board of trustees is comprised of the Department of Education and Culture of the Region of Madrid, the Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE), the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AACCE), the Spanish Audiovisual Producers Copyright Management Entity (EGEDA) and the management entity Spanish Audiovisual Media Copyright (DAMA).

Additionally, we offer the Master’s in Film Restoration and Preservation, a programme that addresses all the key aspects required to work effectively on preservation projects in cinematheques or audiovisual archives.

La ECAM es una fundación cultural sin ánimo de lucro cuyo objetivo fundacional es formar a las próximas generaciones del sector audiovisual y promover actividades culturales asociadas a la industria. Nuestro mayor patrimonio son nuestros alumnos –antiguos y actuales–, nuestros profesores y nuestro equipo.

Cada año más de 400 profesionales en activo del cine, la televisión y la publicidad pasan por nuestras aulas, platós y salas de posproducción para transmitir su conocimiento a las nuevas generaciones de profesionales del sector.

Nuestro profesorado y las relaciones institucionales establecidas con el sector nos han permitido generar puentes con la industria que facilitan la incorporación de nuestros alumnos al mercado laboral.

La ECAM va un paso más allá en su objetivo de formar a las próximas generaciones del sector audiovisual y de ser el inicio de la vida profesional de los principales nombres del cine español: amplía su oferta de posgrado, que se consolida y adapta a las necesidades de la industria, y promueve el apoyo a sus antiguos alumnos, uno de sus principales valores, fomentando el talento formado en sus aulas y potenciando la empleabilidad de la Comunidad ECAM.

Diplomaturas, Formación de Posgrado, Alfabetización Audiovisual, Escuela de Oficios y VFX son la gama de titulaciones que componen la oferta educativa de la escuela, adaptándose a las necesidades del mercado laboral y la industria audiovisual, siempre desde un enfoque práctico.

Nos gusta pensar que la ECAM constituye el inicio de una vida profesional y no los últimos pasos de una vida académica. Creemos que el oficio solo se aprende haciéndolo.

La ECAM se creó en 1994 y su patronato está compuesto por la Comunidad de Madrid, a través de la Consejería Cultura, Turismo y Deporte y de la Consejería de Educación, Universidades, Ciencia y Portavocía, la Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE), la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España (AACCE), la Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de Autor de los Productores Audiovisuales (EGEDA) y la entidad de gestión Derechos de Autor de Medios Audiovisuales (DAMA).

Además, ofrecemos el Máster en Restauración y Preservación Fílmica, una formación que aborda todos los aspectos necesarios para desenvolverse en cualquier proyecto de preservación en Filmotecas o archivos cinematográficos.
