FIAF Statutes & Rules


FIAF is a non-profit association under French law. Created in 1938, it was only formally registered at the Préfecture de police of Paris on 2 August 1968. The address of its formal head office is 38, Avenue des Ternes, 75017 Paris, but its operational centre is located in Brussels.

The FIAF Statutes & Rules form the Constitution of the Federation. They formally define the aims, structure, and governance of the Federation, state the rights and duties of its affiliates, and govern the relations between its affiliates. The Statutes & Rules are regularly revised by the FIAF General Assembly. The last modifications were ratified in Bologna, Italy, on 23 June 2016.
